SVS Windy Wind Driven Turbo Ventilators

A well designed turbine ventilator, like the SVS Windy, takes advantage of the wind to create a positive flow through the throat of the ventilator.

The wind influences the performance of the ventilator in two ways:
  1. Low pressure zone created on the leeward side of the ventilator, because of the striking winds, thus extracting air from the building.
  2. The centripetal force associated with the rotation flings air outwards from the tips of the vanes. Thus fresh air is drawn into the building.
Windy® turbines promote:
  • Healthy living
  • Increase in productivity
  • Reduction in maintenance of plant & machinery by reducing humidity levels
  • Increased life of roofing sheets
  • Use of renewable source of wind energy
  • Achievement of environmental standards

SVS Wind Driven Turbo Ventilators

SVS Wind Driven Turbo Ventilators are a unique product for factory ventilation which run 24x7x365 without consuming electricity.

These are used to remove heat, smoke, fumes, odour, etc from inside closed sheds far more effectively & efficiently than other exhaust systems.

SVS has got a number of installations and are receiving repeat orders as a testimony to our success. These are the only products available in India which protect the bearings from the harmful effects of fumes, oily smoke, heavy dust, soot etc, which cause bearing jam, and thus ensuring a longer life for the product.

Main features include:
  1. A unique 24” spherical vane designed ventilator, WINDY 24 PLUS, with Revolutionary integrated & totally enclosed bearing housing to keep bearings aligned with each other at all times and protect them from dust, smoke, other contaminants thus ensuring longer product life and retention of efficiency over time. This also ensures turbine rotation at nearly zero wind speeds when other turbine designs have long stopped rotating. This model is suited specially for casting, foundry, extrusion, etc. industries. Discharge capacity is higher by at least 40% as per available Australian certification.
  2. A unique 24” vertical vane designed ventilator, HURRICANE 600, manufactured in technical collaboration with Edmonds Pty. Ltd., Australia, with a patented TANDACO double row heavy duty ball bearing system secured in a reinforced bearing holder designed to stabilize the turbine at all times. The vertical vanes account for improved starting torque and greater sail area for large air displacement. At the same time, the bearing is isolated from the displaced air which ensures extremely long bearing life.
  3. Aesthetically Pleasing: Specially developed powder coatings (optional, on chargeable basis) to protect the ventilator from harsh and varied atmospheric conditions. These coatings are superior to conventional powder coatings. These coatings allow product color & finish to be retained over extremely long periods.
  4. The rotating head is statically balanced for stability.
  5. A unique variable pitch elbow keeps the turbine installation vertical to the ground thus ensuring enhanced bearing life.
  6. Lowest starting wind speed in its class ( < 1 km / hour ) keeps the turbine always rotating.
